FAQ

Babalas is South African slang for a hangover. We named the club after the morning after. The breakfast is the cure.

Orders for the coming weekend close on Friday 11:00 South African time. If you order after the cut-off, your Babalas box is automatically booked for the following weekend.

Babalas Breakfast Club delivers across Cape Town on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Current delivery zones: Zone A · City Bowl & Atlantic Seaboard, Zone B · Southern Suburbs & Woodstock/Obs, Zone C · Northern Suburbs & Milnerton/Table View. Each zone page on this site lists its suburbs and delivery fee.

Boxes cost between R300 and R575, plus a delivery fee that depends on your zone. Every box includes bakery buns, one pastry per person and iced coffee from local coffee brand.

No. A Babalas box is a make-at-home breakfast kit: everything arrives prepped and you cook it in about 10 minutes. Offices in Cape Town can get it cooked and delivered hot on weekdays through BBC Boardroom.

As close to home as we can get them. Our buns are baked by a Cape Town bakery, our bacon and boerie come from a local butcher, our eggs are free-range from a Western Cape farm, and the iced coffee comes from a local coffee brand. Sauces we make ourselves.

Babalas buns contain gluten, and most contain egg and milk. Each bun on the menu page lists its full allergens, and pastry allergens are listed in the box builder.
